eGPlearning TipThursday – TheNNT.com

Hi #eGPlearners

Welcome to the weekly showcase of Technology-enhanced primary & learning resources from eGPlearning.

Today we are looking at TheNNT.com. The Numbers needed to treat (NNT) website is a functional website that presents the evidence base behind either treatments (NNT) or diagnosis (likelihood ratio) for various conditions.

It then presents this information in a easy to understand traffic light format of:

  • green (benefits>harms)
  • yellow (unclear if benefits)
  • red (no benefits)
  • black (harm>benefits)

The website is not just primary care focussed and the likelihood ratios are really helpful at looking at creating differential diagnosis.

I find this site great for training, statistics learning and for helping patients understand my decision making process.

Explore the site and remember to subscribe to our Youtube channel to see the weekly premiere of TipThursday.
